On Saturday 8th of September we were pleased to throw our doors open to baristi from all over Melbourne for a fun and laid back AASCA barista jam session. We powered up to BFC machines as well as both of the La Marzocco Lineas in the training room to muck around with a bunch of espresso. The Japanese coffee syphons also got a look in, brewing some very special Panama Hacienda la Esmeralda. Finally, we had a knock-out format latte art competition. Two baristi poured two coffees each, putting their best work forward. The crowd was invited to cheer for the latte that they thought looked best. When all was said and done, Toshi from St Ali walked off with the Coffeelab tamper.
